The YSL Race at Park City Mountain Resort this saturday turned amazing. Warm weather, wonderful friends and happy little ski racers. I am always proud when I watch our kids ski. The determination and effort they put in for way less than a minute on the race course is shocking. As a parent of a kid who ski races I can honestly say this is a nerve-racking sport. Late nights waxing skis, early morning driving to ski resorts, fear that you child will crash and disappointment based off 100-of-a-second in time. I often ask myself why we allow E to take part, but, then I see her smile when she finishes a race and her determination when she crashes gets back up and finishes the race and I know all this will help her regardless of where she goes from here.
Elizabeth finished 31 out of 138 girls. Strong work!
